Internet Download Manager - IDM - turn on speed limiter

It may happen that the user wants to download multiple files together at the same time. In this case, sometimes one download can pull more bandwidth compared to others. It is therefore beneficial to know the maximum download speed of the files so that one file does not get all the priority. This is exactly the purpose of the Speed Limiter software. Speed Limiter is basically the Internet Download Manager. The users also have the option to turn this Internet Download Manager on by making changes in the settings of the downloads.

The speed limiter will determine the maximum download speed of a file; this is especially useful when downloading multiple files (in order to avoid prioritising any of the downloads).
To turn it on:
  • Click on Downloads > Speed limiter > Turn off
  • Note that you can check out the advanced settings for more options.
