Gimp - Select the number of processors to be used

Gimp makes an optimizeduse of the multi-threading technology, which means that once you launch the program will make uses of all the processors of your quad core.

To manually set the number of processors to be used:
  • Open Gimp
  • Click on Edit> Preferences
  • Select the "Environment tab"
  • In the right pane, down in the "Resource Consumption" section, change the value next to "Number of processors to use"

  • Click on the OK button to validate.
