Excel - The LEN function

The LEN function returns the number of characters in a string.
  • Syntax: Len( text )
  • Where text: Represents the string for which you want to count the number of characters.
  • E.g: =len(A1), shall give you the number of characters making up the string in A1.
    • So if A1 contains "Kioskea", the value returned is equal to : 7
    • Note that : Spaces are considered as characters.
