Google Drive - View your XLS, XLSX, PPTX...files




Google Drive lets you open several file types without requiring you to download to your desktop or have the application with which it was created. Twelve new formats are now compatible with the document reader of Google .


Among the new formats that can be displayed using Google Reader Documents, there are the XLS, XLSX, PPTX, Pages (iWork Mac), SVG, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, PostScript and TrueType. These formats are added to Word documents, PowerPoint, PDF and JPG files that were previously supported by the Google service.

Concretely, what does this mean novelty? In Gmail , when you receive an attachment that contains one of these file formats, you can view them directly on your browser. Same principle when using Google Drive.
