Gnome - Enable icons in menus

All menus in Gnome can be customized with icons
  • To enable the icons
  • Open as terminal and enter the following command and press enter
    • gconftool-2 --typeBoolean --set/desktop/gnome/interface/menus have icons True 
  • From there all the menus will have their respective icons displayed.
  • To revert the changes made"
    • gconftool-2 --typeBoolean --set/desktop/gnome/interface/menus have icons False
