Windows - Unable to copy data from Command prompt window

April 2018

I'm unable to copy the information displayed on the command prompt, upon right-clicking over the window and dragging the mouse cursor, nothing is being selected.

  • To be able to perform selection with the mouse over the command prompt window you must first enable the "Quick Edit mode"
  • Simply right click over the upper border command prompt window > Properties > Options
  • In the "Edit Options" section, check " QuickEdit mode"
  • Click on OK
  • As from now you can perform selection over the command prompt window (use CTRL + C to copy the commands)
