MacOS - Set the intervals for Time Machine backup

By default Time Machine performs backup on an hourly basis. To modify the frequency at which Time Machine performs backup:
  • Open a terminal and enter the following command:
    • sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.backupd-auto StartInterval -int X
  • Replace the X by the number of seconds.
