Antivir Avira pertains to a wide range of internet security and antivirus software for Windows, FreeBSD, Linux, OpenBSD and Solaris computing platforms by Avira. Avira Antivirus protects your system against malware and viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, etc. Using Avira security software you can regularly browse the internet, use public Wi-Fi networks, share your computer with other computers, etc. Antivir Avira renders real time on-access scan, on-demand scan and schedules full system scans and updates. It scans all the disks for viruses and runs as a background process contemplating all opened and closed files. It gives you an option to enable or disable real-time protection. You have to double click on the Avira icon and use the switch to turn on or off real-time protection.
To temporarily disable the real-time protection of Antivir Avira Free 2012:
- Double-click on the Avira icon in the system tray
- A new window shall open, use the switch (button) next to "Realtime Protection" to turn it off.
