Windows - Use a video as desktop background


I was wondering, how can I make a music video my desktop background? I have seen this done with Macs and I was wondering if it was possible for Windows?


  • You will need to have Home premium or ultimate editions for the "DREAMSCENE" video backdrop feature as it requires AERO enabled. If you have AERO enabled vista then simply go to the Personalize (right click desktop) > option and select DREAMSCENE within the desktop backgrouhd drop menu.
  • If you don't have it, theres a application by STARDOCK that does the same thing, in fact it may be slightly better:
