Windows 7 - Enable the Compound TCP feature

If you need to optimize your TCP on high bandwidth-delay connections:
  • Open a command prompt (Start > Run > type "cmd")
  • Enter the following command:
    • netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp
  • Use this command to disable it:
    • netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=none
