Windows 7 - Disable the Windows Image Acquisition service



To disable the "Windows Image Acquisition " service (prevent the use of scanners or digital cameras), under Windows 7:
  • Click on Start > type "services.msc" in the search field and press enter.
  • In the "Services" window, look for the following entry:
  • Windows Image Acquisition
  • Double click and set the "Startup type" as "Disabled"
  • Click on OK to validate.
