Pinterest: Registration is now open to all users

Ask a question

Pinterest, the social network, which allows members to share their favorite visual contents on the web, announces the opening of registration for all users. So far, registration on the platform was only possible by invitation from other members.

As a reminder, Pinterest is a site for the sharing and discovery of visual content, launched in 2010. It allows users to "pin" and share images / photos on a virtual dashboard (themes: decoration, fashion, crafts, food), and interact with other members.
  • Until now, only available on invitations from other members, Pinterest is now open to all users: they can access the network with their Facebook or Twitter accounts, or by creating an account with their email address.
  • Pinterest is increasingly being used by companies to communicate their products or drive traffic to their website.
  • A study published in July by Shareholic, showed that Pinterest exceeded Twitter in terms of referent traffic for the month of June.
