Adobe After Effects: Unable to launch - licensed expired

Ask a question

Issue

I'm unable to launch Adobe After Effects. When I double click on the shortcut ,a small dialog display the following message: "License Expired".
  • I have tried to re-install the program, but the problem is still here.

Solution

1) Delete the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache\cache.db

2) Open the relevant software (because it may affect other Adobe log). Click "Accept" - a new "cache.db" is created

3) Right-click on the file, select "Properties" and check "read only". Click "Apply".

4) Enter your serial number in the appropriate field. Click on "Next".

5) A registration window shall be displayed, click "Register Later".

6) Change the attribute of the "cache.db" file and uncheck "read only", click "Apply".

7) The registration window shall be displayed, click on "Never Register".

8) Go back to "cache.db" file and check "read only" and then click on "Apply".
