The famous video conferencing software, Skype, owned by Microsoft, announced the availability of the version 3.0 app for Android OS. Skype has been optimized for large touch screens and also offers better sound quality.
The software now adapts to different screen sizes and terminals (smartphone or tablets). The goal is to make the user experience more fluid, whatever the context of use.
Better sound quality
Skype for Android now supports Microsoft's wideband audio codec, called SILK. "It was designed to capture the richness of the human voice while handling the variations of the Internet connection speed to ensure optimal audio quality"..the official blog of Skype.
