Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library error message

When I right click on the desktop the following error is displayed:
Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\Windows\system32\igfxsrvc.exe
File: D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
9.0\VC\ATLMFC\INCLUDE\atlcom.h
Line: 2475
Expression: 0 && "Release called on a pointer that has already been
released"
For information on how your program can cause an assertion
failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts.
(Press Retry to debug the application)

Knowing that the D:\ drive is the recovery partition

Solution

Simply remove the following file:
  • C:\Windows\system32\igfxsrvc.exe

Restart your PC and it should be OK.
