Embed a video in a slide
With Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, you can embed a video from a file, from the clip art library or from an online source.
All options for embedding video are located via Insert > Media
Insert a video from a file
- In the Normal view mode, click the slide on which you want to embed a video.
- Go to Insert > Media > Video > Select "Video from the file".
- In the Insert a video dialog box, locate and select your video and then click on Insert.
From an online source
- In the Normal view mode, click the slide on which you want to embed a video.
- Go to Insert > Media > Video > Select "Video from website".
- In the Insert a video from a website dialog box, copy the embed code of the online video and then click on Insert.
- In the Normal view mode, click the slide on which you want to embed a video.
- Go to Insert > Media > Video > Select "Clip Art Video".
- In the Clip Art task pane, you can use the Search box to have a preview of the animated GIF by category.
