Skype 6.1 - Make Skype calls from Outlook

Microsoft has announced the integration of the VoIP software, Skype with Outlook. Now users of mail client can view the status of their Skype contacts directly from Outlook and make an audio/video calls.

This feature is available since the new update of Skype (6.1) and is intended for users of Outlook and Skype, who no longer need to juggle between the two applications.

Among the tools available:
  • Audio calls to a Skype account, but also to landline and mobile numbers (Skype Credit).
  • Instant messaging and video call with Skype users present in your Outlook Contacts list.
