Windows - Uninstall the Windows Media Center

If you want to uninstall Windows Media Center, either because it consumes a lot of memory or by default opens all your files, then follow these steps:
  • Go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and Features.
  • In the left pane, click "Enable or disable Windows features".
  • In the dialog that opens, scroll to the "Media features" section and uncheck the box next to "Windows Media Center".
  • Click on Accept to validate.
