To add remote files to your Windows Media Player Library, follow the below procedure:
  • Open Windows Media Player.
  • Press ALT key to display the menu bar.
  • Click on Tools > Options
  • Go to the "Player" tab.
  • Check "Add remote media files to library when played".
  • Confirm with the OK button.
