Plugin Check for Firefox

Ask a question
Keeping your browser plug-ins up to date will result in a more secure browsing environment. This guide will introduce you to Plugin Check, a simple but yet valuable tool for assessing the status of browser plug-ins in the Firefox web browser.

Check the Status of Your Browser Plugins in Firefox

You won’t need to download or install additional software. Open Firefox and click Plugins to connect the Plugin Check service.

Plugin Check will run a quick scan. It will then display a complete list of all the installed plug-ins as well as their current status (Up to Date, Unknown, Outdated...):

Outdated plug-ins are listed first at the top of the list. Click on the Update Now button to go to the download page(s).
