Reset codes for CECT phones

Reset of CECT phones may be required if the phone gets frozen or if a certain application fails to work properly. The Telephony revolution has made the reset process possible. This can be done through the directory restore default settings where a hard reset or soft reset can be done, resetting the phone to factory settings, but this leads data loss. To do this, requisite codes exist, and those reset codes need to be keyed in. Fora P168 model, however, the power cell adjacent to the micro SD card has to be removed and inserted to reset the CECT phone.

When an application does not work properly or at all, there are two ways to reset a CECT mobile phone:

  • After a Hard Reset or Soft Reset, you lose all your data on your mobile (it will be reset to factory settings).
  • Reset codes work with most CECT phone models.

Restore Default Settings

  • In the phone, go to the menu:
  • System > Settings > Restore settings. The default code is: 1122

Soft Reset Code

On the main screen, type:
  • *#337#+ call button

Hard Reset Code

On the main screen, type:
  • *#6810# + call button

  • *#337# + call button

For P168 models

Note that for this model, when it stops responding and it is impossible to perform a Hard reset, remove the battery from the phone and you will see a small power cell adjacent to the micro SD. Remove it and put it back again to reset the phone.
