Linux: Display the CPU temperature

The temperature of the CPU can be directly viewed via the Linux console. All you need is to download the appropriate packages.

Download and install the package

  • To display the CPU temperature, you have to download the "'
    " package.
  • Open a terminal and type the following command: "
    sudo apt-get install Im-sensors
  • Type the following command to enable this feature:
    • sudo sensors-detect
  • Confirm all options with "Yes"
  • To display CPU temperature in the console:
