Before beginning, download and configure Chromecast on your television.

Next, open Google Chrome and press Ctrl + O.

A window will open up inviting you to browse your hard drive for your desired content. Select the video or movie you'd like to play.

Your content will begin playing in a browser tab. Click the Google Cast button located to the right of your address bar and select your Chromecast.

Your content should now display on your HDTV screen.
