Windows Movie Maker - How to lower the volume level or mute the audio track of a video?




You have loaded your video project into Windows movie maker and you want to lower the volume level or mute the audio track.
Here's how to proceed:
Go to the Edit tab.
  • Click on the Video volume button.
  • Move the slider to the right to lower the volume:
  • From there add your custom audio track (Home > Add > Add Music).
  • Click on Save movie and select the appropriated format.
