VLC - Configure the video snapshots feature

There are various settings that can be changed in the way you take snaptshots with VLC:
  • Default file format
  • Prefix
  • Sequential numbering

To access these options
  • Open VLC.
  • Click on the Tools menu > Preferences > Video.
  • Scroll to the Video snapshots section.

First you can change the default folder for storing the snapshots: Click on Browse and select the folder of your choice:

To keep you snapshots organized, you can enable the "Sequential numbering" option.

Finally you can change the default format for saving your snapshots:
