Intro
You may have asked yourself if it is possible to add memory sticks having diffent capacity computer.
For example, adding a strip of 256 MB of RAM to a computer already equipped with 512 MB of RAM.
It is quite possible, it is not the amount of memory added that you must consider, but the speed. The lowest one will limit overall performance.
- Adding faster RAM, it will pose no problem, but speed will remain unchange.
- On the other hand, if you add a strip of slower RAM, it will reduced overall speed.
Note
Be careful not exceed the maximum RAM limit supported by your motherboard (specified in the manual)
