Windows 8.1 - How to clear the history of the Run command
You may have noticed that the commands entered via the Run utility are automatically saved. They can be accessed by clicking on the drop down menu:
In this article you will learn how clear the history of the Run command.
- Open the registry editor (Run > type regedit and press Enter).
- Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
- For each of the commands used via the Run utility, there will be a key.
- You can clear the history of the Run utility by deleting these keys.
