You may have noticed that the commands entered via the Run utility are automatically saved. They can be accessed by clicking on the drop down menu:

In this article you will learn how clear the history of the Run command.
  • Open the registry editor (Run > type regedit and press Enter).
  • Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
  • For each of the commands used via the Run utility, there will be a key.
  • You can clear the history of the Run utility by deleting these keys.
