Mac OS X - Always Show File Extensions


You can configure the Finder to automatically display the filename extensions of your files.
To enable this option:
  • Open the Finder and click on Settings (gear icon).
  • Go to the Advanced tab and check "Always Show File Extensions".
  • Click on the Close button.
