Google Chrome - How to disable the Backspace key shortcut?

Pressing the BackSpace key (out of a text field) will make Google Chrome return to the previous page. This feature can be quite annoying when writing a post/article. If your browser accidentally returns to the previous page, you will have to re-write all the text again.

How to disable the Backspace key shortcut?

Google Chrome doesn't include any option to disable this keyboard shortcut. The trick is to make use a browser extension.
  • Disable the Backspace key shortcut using the BackStop extension.
