How To Enable YouTube Safety Mode

Enabling Safety Mode on YouTube allows users to filter videos containing inappropriate content. This can be helpful if you have children and wish to monitor the videos they are able to view. This article will explain how to enable it on a PC using a web browser and on the YouTube app for Android.

Enable Safety Mode on PC

To get started on your PC, open your preferred web browser and go to YouTube. Next, sign in to your YouTube account, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the Safety menu. Toggle this feature to On, and click Save.

To prevent other users from changing your settings, click Lock safety mode on this browser, sign in with your Google account, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Enable Safety Mode on YouTube App For Android

To manage Safety Mode on your Android, open the Youtube app, tap the Menu Key (3 vertical dots) > Settings > General, and tick the Safety Mode checkbox.
