How to Turn Off Automatic Updates for Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is set to automatically update each time a new version of the web browser is released by Microsoft. If you are using Internet Explorer to monitor a DVR or IP camera (ActiveX app) then you should be wary about updates as sometimes they can cause compatibility issues. Follow this simple procedure to prevent Internet Explorer from installing new versions:

Open Internet Explorer and click on the Tools menu > About Internet Explorer:

Clear the Install new versions automatically checkbox and click on Close:

That's it, auto update has been disabled in Internet Explorer.
