View the Desktop Version of a Website in iOS

When browsing the web on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, your web browser is automatically redirected to the mobile version of websites. As for responsive design websites, their content and layout will be automatically adapted to match your screen size.

Safari enables you to view the desktop version of websites on your mobile. This short tutorial will teach you how to take advantage of this feature.

How To Request a Desktop Site in Safari

Open Safari and go to the website of your selection. Tap on the address bar to display Safari's toolbar. Swipe your finger down to display additional options and then select Request Desktop Site:

You can now resume your browsing.

Desktop View for Safari for iOS 9

Apple has simplified the procedure in iOS 9. Open Safari and browse for the desired webpage. Tap on the Share button and swipe across the sharing options until you reach the Request Desktop Site option:
