Disable paging on Linux
Under Linux, swap (pagefile) is used if your RAM is unsufficient (if the RAM is really running out) . But once the RAM is free, the swap is still active.
- If for any reason you want to disable the use the command (as root):
- This may take a few moments.
- To activate swap again use the following command:
