Mac OS X Yosemite - How to disable spotlight suggestions on Safari

To to disable spotlight suggestions when making searches with Safari, follow the below procedure:
  • Open Safari.
  • Click on the Safari menu > Preferences.
  • Go to the Search tab.
  • Next to "Smart Search Field", uncheck "Include Spotlight Suggestions".
