How To Back Up PS4 Game Data to a USB Drive


This step-by-step tutorial will demonstrate how to backup your PlayStation4 game data to a USB drive. It's recommended that you make use of a high-capacity USB drive, formatted in FAT32 or FAT.

Export PS4 Saved Games to a USB Drive

Connect the USB drive to your PS4. Then go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management:


Select Saved Data in System Storage:


Followed by Copy to USB Storage Device:


Tick the checkboxes displayed next to the games you'd like to backup and select Copy.

Import PS4 Saved Games from a USB Drive

You can restore your saved game data from the USB drive by going into Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data on USB Storage Device and selecting the desired files.
