DuckDuckGo - Save your settings anonymously to the cloud

In this page you will learn how to save your browsing preferences/data anonymously to the cloud when using the DuckDuckGo search engine.

DuckDuckGo emphasizes on protecting the privacy of users and as such it doesn't allow the automatic synchronization of browsing data across multiple devices (using your email address). Instead it allows you to save your settings/data anonymously to the cloud and access it from any device using a password!
To configure this option:
  • Go to https://duckduckgo.com/
  • Click on the menu button (3 horizontal bars) located at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Click on Advanced Settings.
  • In the Cloud Save section, simply click on Save Settings.
  • You will be prompted to enter a password and that's all, no email address, username or any kind of personal information will be asked for!
  • Click on Save.
  • Your data has been saved to the cloud.

To load your personal settings (from another device, web browser):
  • Go to https://duckduckgo.com/
  • Click on the menu button (3 horizontal bars) located at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Click on Advanced Settings.
  • In the Cloud Save section, simply click on Load Settings.
  • Enter your password.
