VirtualBox - How to enable the clipboard sharing between the guest and host OS


VirtualBox allows you to have a shared clipboard which can be accessed by both the host and guest OS.
  • Open VirtualBox
  • Select the guest OS (without starting it) for which you want to enable clipboard sharing.
  • Click on the Settings button.
  • Go to General > Advanced.
  • Click on the Shared Clipboard menu and make your selection:
    • Disabled (default value)
    • Host To Guest
    • Guest To Host
    • Bidirectional
