Windows 7 - Set the default action for the power button

Here's how to set the default action for the power button of your Windows 7 computer:
  • Right-click on the Start menu > Properties:
  • Go to the Start Menu tab.
  • Click on Power button action menu and make your selection:
    • Switch user
    • Log off
    • Lock
    • Restart
    • Sleep
    • Hibernate
    • Shutdown
  • Click on Apply > OK.
