Android - How to Organize your Apps into Folders

Learn how to create app folders in Android. Regrouping similar apps in the same folder can help you to reduce the number of homescreen present on you Android device, given that each of them can hold up 16 to 25 app shortcuts. You can, for example, organize all your social or messaging apps in a single folder. The below procedure works for most, if not all Android smartphone or tablets.

Start by dragging an app icon onto another one:

A folder containing the two selected apps will be created:

You can change the name of the folder to something more meaningful:

To add more apps to the folder, simply tap on the + button and make your selection.
