Windows Vista starting automatically in safe mode

April 2018

This is a very common problem that occurs for some users after having installed an update for Windows Vista, for example:

Update for Windows Vista (KB955302)” and other updates types.
After this update installation, Windows will restart in safe mode only.

To solve this problem you will have to use these instructions:
  • Click on Start
  • Type "msconfig" on the search bar
  • Click on the "Boot" tab
  • Deselect the "Safe boot"
  • Click on "OK" then "Apply"

This will stop Windows Vista from starting automatically on Safe Mode.
