The Touch to Search feature of the Google Chrome app allows you to make a Google Search for word displayed in a webpage without leaving the latter. You simply have to tap and hold your finger on the selected word to trigger a Google Search and get its definition, pictures and other details:

Touch to Search is by default enabled on the latest version of the Google Chrome app and there are many users who are uncomfortable with it. In this tutorial you will learn how to disable this feature in a couple of easy steps:

Open the Google Chrome app and tap on the ellipse (3 small dots) key and select Settings. Go to the Advanced section > Privacy. Tap on Touch to Search and then toggle this feature off:
