Facebook - Control What is Being Shared About You in Apps Others Use

This article explains how limit the amount of information that your friends can (involuntary) share about you when they use games, apps or connect to online services with Facebook. Online privacy is a subject that appeals to many users and you should always be wary about how your personal information is being disclosed (sometimes without your knowledge or approval) on the web.

The first step is to connect to your Facebook Account and then go to Settings > Apps. Scroll down and click the Edit button located in the Apps others use section:

Clear the check-boxes next to the categories of information that you don't want to be shared with third party publishers/websites and then click on the Save button:
