Creating a shortcut for the Control Panel options

Control Panel is of huge importance for computer usage in Windows based systems. This is accessible from the Start menu and it is through Control Panel that various modifications as well as changes in computer settings can be made. It is possible to create shortcuts for Control Panel options on the desktop. This creates great ease in usage for the user. To create a shortcut for the Control Panel options, one has to simply open Control Panel and via Shortcut option from File, the process can be accomplished.

Below is a simple tip for creating a shortcut to Control Panel on your Desktop.
  • Go to Menu Start and select/open Control Panel.

  • Then select the option you want to create a shortcut on your desktop for, e.g. « Add Hardware » and click on File in the menu bar.
  • Finally select «Create Shortcut » and the shortcut option will appear on your computer desktop.
