Installing Application - How to change the default location?

You have 2 partitions, C: and D:, the C: partition space is decreasing and you wish to automatically install your applications on the D: partition without changing the destination drive each time during the beginning of an installation?

Here is the solution:
  • Click on "Start" > "Run"
  • Type: “regedit”
  • Locate this directory:

  • Search for ProgramFilesDir. by default, this value will be C:\Program Files. Edit the value another drive or folder.

This will be the default destination where your applications will be installed to!
