
The Google Chrome app usually opens on a homescreen which consists of a search field and thumbnails of your favorite websites or recently visited ones. But if you are using
Android v5.0 Lollipop, then you can easily customize this setting and use any website as homepage for your browser.
So without further ado, let's see how to set the homepage and add a Home button to the Google Chrome app:
Open the
Google Chrome app. Tap on the
Ellipsis button displayed at the top right corner of your screen and then select the
Settings menu. Go to
Basics >
Homepage:
Toggle the
Homepage switch on:
To use your favorite website as homepage, you first need to clear the
Default checkbox and then type the URL of the website in the
Enter URL field:
At the end of this procedure a
Home button (giving you access to your homepage) will be added the Google Chrome app, in front of the address bar:
