Skype for Android - Custom Ringtones

The Skype app for Android allows you to assign a custom ringtone to each of your contacts. You can use any MP3 or ringtone file stored on your smartphone. The procedure is explained below:


Get the latest version of the Skype app on the Google Play Store.

If you want to use an MP3 file as custom ringtone in Skype, then you first set it as default ringtone for your smartphone.

Assigning a custom ringtone

Open the Skype app and go to your contact list. Select a contact and then tap on the Ellipsis button displayed at the bottom right corner > Ringtones Options:

Tap on Custom Ringtones and make your selection from the list of ringtones available on your smartphone:

Select Default ringtone to use the default ringtone of your smartphone. Repeat the operation for your other contacts.
