Block Spam on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a built-in spam filter that enables you to block unsolicited text messages. Here's how to block and filter spam messages on your mobile phone.

Block and Filter Spam on the Galaxy S6

Open the Messages app and tap on the More menu > Settings. Tap on Spam filter and then choose the most appropriate method to block spam messages:

Tap on Manage spam numbers to open your Address book or Inbox and blacklist specific phone numbers:

Tap on Manage spam phrases to create a blacklist using specific keywords or phrases. Your smartphone will indiscriminately block messages that contain matching words or phrases (not case sensitive):

There's always a risk that the spam filter blocks some of your legitimate SMS messages. You should regularly check for the presence of such messages in the spam folder. To do this, go to Messages Settings > Spam Filter > Spam messages to view the content of the spam folder.
