This article will walk you through the various ways of disabling the iOS personal assistant,
Siri. This will allow you to disable the application completely, turn off
Siri Suggestions, and/or remove her from your lock screen features.

Siri is automatically activated if you’ve set up your iOS device using the default settings. You can launch Siri using the
“Hey Siri” command or by holding down the
Home button for a few seconds (this also works when the device is locked).
Go to
Settings >
General >
Siri. The Siri menu will give you access parameters and settings for the intelligent assistant, such as
Voice Gender,
Language,
Voice Feedback and
Allow “Hey Siri”.
Simply toggle the
Siri switch to deactivate or reactivate any of these features.
If you'd like to learn how to turn off
Siri Suggestions please read our tip
here.
It has been reported on several technology websites that there’s a Siri exploit to bypass
Touch ID and
Passcode of
iOS9. Removing Siri from the lock screen features can help to mitigate the risk of being hacked.
Go to
Settings >
Touch ID & Passcode >
Allow access when locked. Then toggle
Siri off.
