Find Animated GIFs with Google

The GIF format, which is also known as Graphics Interchange Format, is one of the most popular formats for publishing web graphics, especially on social media and instant messaging (meme, emotes, reaction gifs, and ads). It owes its success to its ability to convey information through animated images, while keeping file size to minimum.

This guide will teach you how to take advantage of Google’s advanced image search to find your animated GIFs.

How To Search Animated GIFs with Google Images

Open your web browser and click image to open Google Image:

Type the desired search terms and click on the small magnifying glass icon to validate. Once done, click on Search tools > Type > Animated:

Google will list the animated images that correspond to your search terms.
