How To Identify Fonts Online

If you are a designer, integrator, developer, or if you create visuals for your enjoyment, you may often find yourself trying to track down different font types seen while browsing the internet.

Luckily, there are a variety of resources available that can help you find any and all font types that may come your way. This article will introduce you to one of the tools that can help you find the name of a font type based on text or an image found online.

Find Font Type Online

Fount is a great site that actually works as a sidebar indicator on Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.

In order to use the tool, head to the site, and then drag and drop the FOUNT text to your bookmarks bar:

Once done, FOUNT should be visible in your Favorites tab:

Now go to the site where you found a font that you liked, and click the Fount button that you just added to your favorites.

Highlight the desired text, and the font name will at the top-right of your screen:
